Philosophy

Jesus loves kids—and so does Evergreen Church.  

We believe children can handle deep truth at a young age.  Kids involved in ECSPKIDS Sunday Morning service will spend time in fellowship and receive Bible teaching through a media driven curriculum called "252Basics" Nursery, toddler and preschool rooms are also available for younger children.

We believe that parents—before any other institution—are responsible for the spiritual nurturing of their children. As parents shepherd their kids through Scripture, our ministry serves as reinforcement to their teaching. ECSPKIDS is currently offering a take home bible study called "Family Times" which will help parents and kids grow in relationship with each other and with God.The virtue of the month within this study will be the key topic for RevolutionKids which is our ECSPKIDS Wednesday night services(6:00PM-8:00PM). This study will cost approximately $6-12 a month, but we are willing to help out familys in need.

Sunday Check-in Process

If you're new to the Evergreen Church Children's Ministry, please come 15 minutes early to get familiar with the check-in process.  You'll need to fill out a Kidcheck Profile at the EC Kids Registration desk where you will find additional information about our chidren's ministry including what they are learning that day. Volunteers there will check your kid(s) in, you'll begiven a Guardian Sticker to accompany each child you check in. 

Parents are invited to return to pick up their kids when the service ends and tear down time begins.  You'll need to sign-out of Kidcheck in order to pick up your children.


Safety and Security Measures

Evergreen Church takes all the precautionary measures it can to keep kids safewhile in Children's Ministry.  

All Children's Ministry volunteers and staff (who we are still searching for)have had a background check, personal reference checks, and been verified as able to serve in the Children's Ministry by the EC Church Leadership.  All those applying to serve must be regular attenders for at least six months to be considered for application.  

 Children are not released to anyone unless they are able to present the matching guardian sticker and number matching the one on the child.  No one who has been convicted of a sex offense is allowed in the Children's Ministry - volunteer or parent.
